The rollercoaster ride of trips and falls
I know that it has been quite awhile since my last posting. Quite a bit has happened in the last month. First of all, in October I went to the ASLRRA Eastern Region Meeting in Williamsburg, VA. We were in the old historical part of town. What a great time that was. I've never been to that part of the East coast and really had fun.

The meeting was not only interesting, but educational and entertaining. I especially enjoyed the dinner in 'town' at the Shields Tavern! The food was great and the staff friendly and enjoyable. The main reason I went was for the networking which as always was worthwhile! Even though I felt like I had a cold or something the entire time.
Follow up:
I was even lucky enough to get a nice shot of the moon at sunset prior to joining everyone else for dinner one night!

After that I made my way to visit a cousin in DC. What a trip!! I was lucky enough to get my name on a list in order to tour the White House!!!
If ever you want to do that you need to start a minimum of 2-6 months in advance of your trip and go through your congressman. Even then you won't be guaranteed to get on the list. But if you do, it is well worth it!!
The monuments, sights, people, and just the experience was something I will never forget. The one thing I didn't do was to go into the Capital Building. But since I have a cousin in the area, there is always next time! Besides, I didn't get to very many of the various Smithsonian museums at all.
The main reason I hadn't posted in such a long time was that I was out because of emergency surgery. Everything is fine now and I'm well on my way to recovery. Which is why I'm able to post this entry now.
So this last month has been full of ups and downs. But overall it has been an interesting time and worth the experience. Though I wouldn't recommend the surgery if you don't have to!
What the entire month really brought forth to me was how well people really do work together. And how wide spread the experience and knowledge base in this country really is. The Railroad Industry is really only one small piece of the entire picture and this month really put that into perspective. But now, back to work and back to getting my life going forward again.
Don't forget to take a look at the company website at www.me2rr.com to see how we can help you out with your company and your support needs. And if you have analytical needs outside of the railroad industry, keep us in mind. Analysis knows no industry boundries!
